Director Anil Ravipudi, who previously explored sentiment-driven action with Nandamuri Balakrishna in Bhagavanth Kesari, returns to his signature style of family-oriented comedies in Sankranthiki Vasthunam. Overall, Sankranthiki Vasthunam is designed for festive viewing, as promoted by its makers. It unapologetically focuses on entertainment rather than plot or logic. Venkatesh’s impeccable comic timing, Ravipudi’s lighthearted narrative, and Bheems’ catchy soundtrack are its highlights. While not as enjoyable as F2, and despite a second half weighed down by forced elements, the film is still a worthwhile watch for the Sankranthi season.

Sankranthiki Vasthunnam, the last big release of this Sankranthi, marks the third collaboration between Venkatesh and Anil Ravipudi. Amid sky-high expectations, the film has hit the screens today. On the whole, Sankranthiki Vasthunnam is a fun-filled family entertainer with plenty of laughs. Venky shines in a role tailor-made for him, supported by Aishwarya Rajesh’s relatable charm and Meenakshi Chaudhary’s lively energy. Bheems Ceciroleo’s music adds to the film’s appeal. Although the predictable story, a few illogical moments, a slightly dull second half, and underutilized characters may feel like minor drawbacks, the movie’s overall charm makes up for them. If you’re looking for a joyful and lighthearted film to watch with your family this Sankranthi, Sankranthiki Vasthunnam is the perfect pick.

Director Anil Ravipudi is known for his slapstick comedies and Sankranthiki Vasthunam is on the same lines.Sankranthiki Vasthunnam will often make you laugh, especially if you are a fan of out-and-out slapstick comedies. A focused script, tighter editing and impressive cinematography would have elevated the film a few notches. The muddled-up storyline and how the events pan out leave much to be desired.

Director Anil Ravipudi might scrape through this time, largely thanks to the blockbuster soundtrack. However, if his next film maintains this level of writing quality. Sankranthiki Vasthunnamu first half is passable, the entire second half is farcical. WHEN DONE RIGHT, Farcical comedy is ACCEPTABLE. However, when farcical genre falls short, it feels over-the-top, chaotic – precisely the issue with second half. Venkatesh’s star power and a couple of superhit songs manage this film a watchable one for family audience.

Anil Ravipudi is one of the very few directors in Telugu who scored seven back-to-back successful films. Selecting a simple story and mixing it with enough fun moments at regular intervals is his success formula. He followed a similar approach even for ‘Sankranthiki Vasthunnam’. You may have to stop using your thinking brain throughout the film and excuse the over-the-top loud comedy in the second half to get entertained. Overall, Sankranthiki Vasthunnam is a decent passable entertainer to watch in theatres with family.
